Active ingredients:
Propisochlor 160 g/kg
Bensulfuron-methyl 40 g/kg
Formulation type: WP (Wettable Powder) – a wettable powder formulation in solid form, fine granules with high water-dispersibility.
Mode of action / Function: Pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide for selective weed control.
Target weeds: Echinochloa spp. (barnyardgrass). Fimbristylis miliacea. Cyperus difformis. Cyperus iria. Monochoria vaginalis Ludwigia spp. Scirpus spp., Ammannia spp., Algae and aquatic weeds (various species)
Recommended application rate
Depending on commercial formulation and weed pressure:
1.0 – 1.5 kg/ha (adjust according to weed density).
Formulations may include granules or wettable powder, applied directly and uniformly across the field.
Best applied during:
Pre-emergence to very early post-emergence stages of weeds.
1–5 days after sowing, or 3–7 days after transplanting.
Maintain 3–5 cm of standing water.
Avoid water flow or drainage for 24–48 hours after application.
If the field is too dry or water-stressed, herbicide efficacy will be reduced.
Apply evenly and uniformly across the field.
If using spray application:
Mix according to product recommendation, agitate thoroughly, and spray evenly.
Re-application is not required if applied at the correct timing.
If weed pressure is very high or emerged weeds decline slowly → supplementary treatment with a post-emergence herbicide may be necessary.
Chemical group: Chloroacetamide.
Controls annual grasses (barnyardgrass, Echinochloa spp.) and some broadleaf weeds.
Strong pre-emergence activity.
Stable and persistent under typical field conditions.
Chemical group: Sulfonylureas (selective systemic herbicide).
Highly effective on broadleaf weeds and sedges (Cyperus spp., Monochoria, Ludwigia, etc.).
Systemic, inhibits growth and cell division.
Widely used and well-suited for paddy rice ecosystems.
Wider weed control spectrum: grasses + broadleaf weeds + sedges.
Dual action timing: pre-emergence + early post-emergence.
Multi-site weed suppression, reducing resistance pressure.
Ideal for wetland rice fields, especially mixed-weed infestations.
Grasses: Echinochloa, Leptochloa, and related species.
Broadleaf weeds: Monochoria, Ludwigia, Ammania, etc.
Sedges: Cyperus difformis, C. iria, Fimbristylis spp.
Acts before weed emergence or at early seedling stage.
Minimizes early-season weed competition.
Residual activity 10–20 days depending on soil and water conditions.
Keeps the field clean, allowing rice plants to tiller vigorously.
Does not cause leaf burn.
Very low risk of phytotoxicity when used correctly.
Blocks protein and lipid biosynthesis.
Prevents cell division in weed seedlings.
→ Weeds fail to emerge or die shortly after emergence.
Inhibits ALS enzyme, blocking synthesis of essential amino acids (valine, leucine, isoleucine).
→ Weeds stop growing and die within 3–7 days.
